What happens at a visit for an eye problem
- 01
Step 1: You tell us what you have noticed
We ask when it started and what has helped or made it worse.
- 02
Step 2: The doctor examines the eye
A close look at the eye, with a light and a magnifier.
- 03
Step 3: We explain and plan
You hear what we found, what to do at home and when to come back, or where we refer you.
How it is billed
A visit for an eye problem or a follow-up is billed to medical insurance, not to a vision plan. If you pay yourself, we give you a written estimate before the visit when we can.
Medical insurance
Eye problems, checks on an eye condition and follow-ups.
Vision plan
Routine exams, glasses and contact lenses.
Paying yourself
A written estimate in advance.
